Shop girl Dani has an impeccable taste in music. The breadth and depth of her listening catalog is pretty mind boggling considering the relatively short number of years she’s actually spent on the planet… but that’s just Dani - an old soul, wise beyond her years. I sure do miss having her playlists as the background music to my workday… but I’m lucky that now she just texts them to me when she makes a new one. Her latest playlist gives me that lighthearted good-time feeling that I associate with summer and I’m so hear for it. I’m a big fan of driving. One of my favorite escapes is getting out of the city on a nice day to where the roads narrow, dip and wind and everything is green. Dani gets it. This playlist is for that.

“I was inspired by the first song, “Summer Brings the Sunshine” by Jimmy Carter and Dallas Country Green to make this playlist. It’s got a heavy folk-country, Americana theme with just a hint of moody-ness if you will. While putting this playlist together I was thinking of what songs I would want to be listening to driving down the road with the windows down, sun shining, trees full of green leaves and big puffy clouds in the sky.
