Let’s be honest. In 2024 anything goes. Where what you love and what makes you feel happy. For those interested in what style cues we’ll be leaning into this season, we’ve synthesized our favorites spring style inspo for you!

STATEMENT OUTERWEAR

As a self proclaimed hoarder or amazing outerwear, statement jackets are my favorite way to elevate an outfit. One of my favorite go-tos are vintage loungewear. You can find beautifully patterned kimonos, robes and quilted house coats that offer a unique alternative to a traditional topper.

SHEERS

Sweet or sexy, sheer styling is all in how you detail it. Layer a sheer slip over or under your look, create a really romantic look with voluminous sheer skirts or sleeves, or be bold layering sheer over your skivvies! For more inspiration on how to wear sheers, check out this previous blog post!

FLORALS FOR SPRING

Need we say more, really? We love the bold patterns and intersting color pallets they can bring to a look. Play with scale of the pattern. A small ditsy floral pattern is sweet, while a large floral makes much more of a statement!

COLOR

I get that some folks love their neutrals but you won’t get much of that from us. From bold prints to beautiful solids, we’re on the color train for spring. Florals, plaids, psychedelic prints, and beyond… even if it’s just pops of color like a bright green bodysuit under a sheer dress, or in accessories like a bold bag or red socks with loafers.

VOLUME

Playing with volume is a great way to add visual interest to an outfit. Whether you’re into a big sleeve, ruffles or puffy tulle skirts, amping up the volume is sure to take your look to the next level. As mentioned above, voluminous sheers are a big fave.

WESTERN BOOTS

It should may go without saying that May’s is into western boots, but given their popularity at large, it feels like a shoutout is required. We suggest considering two pairs of western boots for your wardrobe - a great solid color pair to go with literally anything in black, brown, white or red, and then a really fun pair with multiple colors or a great inlay pattern as a statement pair.

This category encompasses all things that are wardrobe staples for any season as far as we’re concerned - a well-worn leather, denim (jeans and jackets in a variety of styles), great seasonal knits, interesting sets in fun prints, and flowy dresses galore.
