At May’s Place, our mission is to offer unique, quality fashion-forward vintage that speaks to one’s personal style, elevates one’s confidence and fits into a sustainability-driven lifestyle.
We’re looking for a Part Time Sales Associate to help our customers navigate our collection to help them find the pieces that make their hearts sing! The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of vintage, styling, fit and sustainability. We’re also looking for someone who is customer-oriented, friendly and outgoing! Interest in content creation and social media is also a big plus.
As a family owned business, our team and our customers are an extension of that family. We want to make sure every interaction with May’s is handled with the same care that you would extend to someone in your own home.
Responsibilities Include
Providing excellent customer service by greeting all guests, identifying customer’s needs and building rapport using open ended questions, offering help with sizes/styles, starting a fitting room, etc.
Assist coworkers in hitting daily sales goals using suggestive selling techniques, product knowledge, and social media tools
Manage financial transactions with accuracy, processing payments using cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and merchandise credit
Maintain store cleanliness and visual standards, ie. dusting, sweeping, straightening racks and shelves
Skills and Qualifications
Clear and effective communication between both team members and customers
Personable, warm, friendly demeanor
Dependability and flexibility with scheduling (weekend availability is required)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Retail experience is a plus, but not required
