Vinyl Wednesday: Waylon Jennings

Black on Black, 1982

Iconic outlaw country crooner Waylon Jennings put out a ton of albums in his day. We're talking over 30 records from 1964-1998. Black on Black was released on RCA Victor in 1982.  Though it gets a lot of criticism for being over-produced and not true to Waylon's more raw sound - it does feature some great tunes like covers of Hank Williams "Honky Tonk Blues" and Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues", as well as collaborations with Willie Nelson on "Just to Satisfy You" and backing vocals by his wife and fellow country music star, Jessi Colter. No Waylon collection is complete without it, and it's available now!
